Mitchell began her love affair with writing as a Theater student, while she was attending Maryland's Towson University. Initially focusing on the acting portion of her craft, Ms Mitchell appeared in a string of Musical theater performances, as well as behind the scenes as a costume historian, and designer. Though she was always a writer, Mitchell did not begin penning for comics until meeting R. L. Murphy in the summer of 2000. The pair have continued to work closely, and have since collaborated on an array of diverse projects and business ventures.
